Some really encouraging news from the doctor today. my Hpa1c which was measured at 85 last year (quite high that) came down to 71 when it was again tested last Sept 2019. Suffices to say its dropped again to 53 which is close to what normal is. Which i believe is around 45. So a fair bit away from the risk of insulin now.
So what do i attribute this to? Well Michael Moselys 5:2 is without doubt a massive contributor to this. Along with my mission to try to ride at least 5 – 10 miles daily. Along with a nice balanced diet of course. As i am writing this, frankly i am famished. 3 boiled eggs since dinner last night (and that was only a small pasta salad. Still, I will prevail and break fast at 19:00.
All in a good cause.
I think what i would like to do is experiment and come off the Metformin drugs. Not sure they are much to thank for this. Could be wrong of course. Will discuss with diabetic nurse next week see what she says.
On a personal level the bloods have fluctuated some going from around 10 – 11 some days. But with discipline and intermittent fasting they return to normal levels by evening. Such as now. I guess thats the important thing.
